End to Misunderstandings
in Your Marriage
Slide #1: A misunderstanding
is a failure to comprehend your spouse’s real concerns, feelings
or intentions.
Slide #2: The result is often an intense argument over the wrong issues.
Slide #3: There are several simple steps to avoiding a misunderstanding.
Slide #4: Stop and give your spouse your undivided attention.
Slide #5: Ask them to share with you what’s truly on their heart.
Slide #6: Repeat back to them what you have heard them say.
Slide #7: Ask non-judgmental questions to clarify and confirm.
Slide #8: Then switch places and let your spouse go through the same
process with you.
Slide #9: Once you both are understood you can work to solve the conflict.
