Daily Connection

For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations. Isaiah 51:8

In 1982, orthopedic surgeon John Church treated an accident victim who lay unconscious for three days. When found, the patient had deep wounds infested with maggots.  When Dr. Church peeled away the maggots he was astonished to discover that the wounds were so clean they had already begun to heal! The larvae had eaten the dead flesh and their presence actually encouraged the growth of healthy tissues. (Scot Higgins)

Have troubles been eating at you? God can use trials to develop a godly character. Submit yourself in faith to the Lord’s special therapy. It’s the best treatment available for cleaning up your act!

Point of Connection: Character in a saint means the disposition of Jesus Christ persistently manifested. Oswald Chambers
