To comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion. Isaiah 61:2
Greg Zanis is a carpenter from Illinois, whose father-in-law taught him the trade. In 1996, Greg's father-in-law was the victim of a violent crime and died. To express his deep grief, Greg built an eight-foot wooden cross and planted it where he died. Through his ministry “Crosses for Losses,” Greg continued to erect them at the scenes of other fatal crimes or accidents such as Columbine High School. Greg has personally delivered over 800 crosses to date. (Southern Baptist Convention.net)
