When we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were not telling just smart stories that someone invented. 2 Peter 1:16 NCV

In 1957, Lieutenant David Reeves walked out of the Sierra Mountains, 54 days after his jet disappeared. By the time he showed up alive, he was already declared dead. Reeves told an amazing story of his survival in the wilderness, but because no one found the wreckage, his story was doubted. Reeves was forced to resign under the suspicion of a hoax. Twenty years later, a troop of Boy Scouts discovered the wreckage, and Reeve's story was confirmed.

Jesus made claims people found difficult to believe. He claimed to be the Son of God, the Messiah. As a result, He was tried, executed, and pronounced dead. Three days later, He proved His claims to be true. Christ's resurrection from the dead is living proof that believing in Jesus is more than an April Fool's joke.

When they asked, God brought them quail and filled them with bread from heaven. God split the rock, and water flowed out; it ran like a river through the desert. Psalm 105:40-41 NCV

When Moses led Israel out of Egypt into the desert, he faced an incredible challenge. It took 1500 tons of food each day to feed 3.5 million people. That's enough to fill two freight trains, each a mile long. Water requirements for drinking and washing were 11 million gallons each day, enough to fill a train of tanker cars 1800 miles long. Yet, God supplied the needs of His people for over forty years.

Are you facing a financial challenge? Don't panic. You serve the same God who led Moses in the wilderness. Trust Him. God will supply your needs.

POWER POINT: Faith is the refusal to panic. -D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Champion swimmer, Florence Chadwick, plunged into the icy Pacific waters to attempt to become the first person to swim from Catalina Island to the California coast. For sixteen hours, she pushed through the foggy, shark-infested waters. Just a half-mile from shore, she asked to be pulled into a companion boat despite the encouragement of her trainer and her mother. Hours later, she told reporters that she would have made it if she could only have seen the shore. Chadwick was not defeated by the frigid waters or fatigue, but by the fog. She stopped short because she was not able to see her goal.

Feel like you are swimming in a fog? Are you discouraged and ready to give up? Perhaps you have lost vision of your goal. Ask the Lord to refresh your spiritual eyesight through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask for one more glimpse of the shore. You mi...[more details]

Each time a monkey scampered up the pole to retrieve the fruit, it received a spurt of cold water, which scared the simian. Eventually, the monkeys gave up. A new monkey was introduced, and as soon as it started up the pole, the other monkeys pulled it down to keep it from a shower. Scientists replaced each monkey one at a time, and finally removed the water hose. Even with a group of new monkeys, they never tried to climb to the top.

"My crew will mock me." Finally, the captain agreed. An hour later, he said, "You can stop praying. We've got plenty of wind now."

Little Toot wants to give up when the load seems to be too much. When the going gets tough, the petite locomotive repeats, "I think I can, I think I can!" Finally, he makes it over the toughest grade and pulls the circus train into town.
