Pacific Garden Mission is the oldest, continuously operating, Gospel rescue mission in the country.
Throughout our history and today the staff faithfully seeks God and His transforming power to save and restore.
Our mission is to share the Gospel and provide a nutritive environment spiritually.
We give everyone the tools to build a strong spiritual foundation and a close relationship with Jesus Christ. During the stay at Pacific Garden Mission individuals are encouraged to grow and improve physically, mentally, emotionally with spiritual growth being the foundation. Pacific Garden Mission has begun airing its own TV show on Total Living Network (TLN). The show, Pacific Garden Mission, premiered in September 2014 and consists of preaching from PGM’s executive director, Pastor Phil Kwiatkowski, from the weekly Saturday evening Praise & Testimony service, as well as uplifting testimonies from those whose lives have been transformed through Jesus Christ.
Why TLN Airs This Show
As a pillar in our community here in Chicago, we believed PGM needed an active voice in television to tell the incredible stories of those who come through the mission; stories of hope, stories of transformation. What we believed would be a solid program has become one of the most sought after shows on our network, and we are grateful to call PGM our partners and friends in ministry.
On August 13, 2013, Philip Kwiatkowski was elected the 9th President of Pacific Garden Mission. The installation service was held in the Pacific Garden Mission auditorium on September 10, 2013. He was installed by the Board of Trustees and honored guests.
Philip Kwiatkowski started working at Pacific Garden Mission as a counselor while he was a student at Moody Bible Institute over 25 years ago. Today the entire Mission knows him as Pastor Phil.
Pastor Phil graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1981 and earned his Master’s Degree from Liberty University.
Pastor Phil is married and has four children.
In the first six months of Pastor Phil’s appointment he addressed and reformed the entire staff and the chain of command for leadership. He responded to the record numbers of over 1100 people in our building by increasing security and providing additional beds. A new web site presence initiative was launched in January 2014.
